Participation
What is Community Participation?
Participating in community activities involves getting to know people who share your mutual interests. It involves taking part in activities you find enjoyable whilst also engaging in new activities. Our team regularly interacts with you and your support systems to determine the community-based activities you are most interested in. From there, our professionals take the initiative to examine the most effective ways to achieve your desired activities.
Deppy’s Care aim is to ensure that every activity meets your interests. These community-based activities can be included one-on-one with a team or in a group of 4 or 5 participants.
Who is eligible for Community Participation?
In Deppyโs care, NDIS participants can be eligible for community participation if;ย
- Participant with an intellectual disability
- Participant with an psychosocial disability
- Participant with Autism spectrum disorder
What activities are included in Community Participation?
Our support worker will always assist you in participating in all the community activities. Several activities are included in the community participation but are not limited to;
- Developing skills, pursuing a new hobby
- Sport activities
- – Putt Putt Golf
- – Bowling
- Help to spend time with friends and family members.
- Help participants visit their local library and parks.
- Support to join summer activities and camps.
- Recreational activities:ย
- – Painting
- – Museums
- – Disco
- – Karaoke
